WE HAVE DNA RESULTS...99.99% MATCH!!!

This is great news, but my heart is just breaking for her birth mom. She is holding her baby so close in the picture and she has the most bitter sweet look on her face. Like she is heartbroken, but wants to look happy in the only pic her baby will ever see of her. I just can't stop looking at her. She is so beautiful...

On a happier note...time to wait on PA!!! Last time we waited a total of 63 or 64 days. If things keep moving like they are, we hope to have it in 45-50 days! I hope things continue to speed up.

MORE PICS...

I couldn't help it... I guess I'm in a picture posting mood! These are from the second set of pictures we received from our agency. She was about 6 weeks old. They are my favorite!

No DNA yet. But.....

Well, we didn't get DNA results this week. But the good news is.....we have new pictures! This is the 4th set of pictures we've received since her referral in July. Our agency is doing a great job of keeping us up to date so far.

I also want to mention the elections that are taking place in Guatemala today. Please keep them in your prayers.

DNA IS DONE!!!

I received an e-mail from our agency Friday telling us that we did get authorization for the DNA test to be done. Then I received a second e-mail right after that one saying that the DNA test was done that day! This is very good news considering that we thought it would take at least a couple more weeks to get the test done. Hopefully, we will receive the results this week.

Once we have the results, we begin waiting for pre-approval (PA). This is taking about 60+ days right now.

We are still early in the process, but this is a very big step.

Happy Labor Day!!!

Starting over...

Herre she is!!!
@ 2 months old

We have accepted a new referral of a baby girl. She was born on June 18th, weighing 7 lbs. We are waiting to get authorization for the DNA test. As soon as we receive the results we will have to wait for PA . (about 2 months) Then we will submitted back into PGN.

I know that things are risky with Guatemalan Adoptions right now. Especially with the political situations that are going on . But we are going to continue with our plans to adopt. I truly believe that "our little girl" is in Guatemala, even if we had to wait to find her.

Isabella ...

Our "almost little girl" you will always have a special place in our heart...

As most of you know, we lost Isabella last month. Her birth mother has decided to raise her. It has been hard, but we are moving forward. We pray for her and her mother, that God watches over them both...

Update on Our Case...

Here's a little update on our case.......

We entered PGN on April 24th. This is the last big stage of the adoption process, where the case is reviewed and either approved or rejected. If your case is Rejected (or kicked Out) your attorney has to fix the problem(s) and then the case gets resubmitted into PGN. The case can be rejected for many different reason, as minor as a misspelling or in some cases more serious problems.

We received a Kick Out (Rejection) on June 21st. Once we get resubmitted we have another 8 weeks to find out if we are Out of PGN (approved), or kicked out again. Right now we are just waiting to find out when we re-enter PGN. It's very frustrating, but she's worth the wait.

God is definately teaching me patience.
